This core will provide expertise and services for

• Generating transgenic or knock-out animal, as well as
   
• Phenotyping of animals including:
   
  - food intake and macronutrient selection
  - taste sensitivity
  - energy expenditure
  - fat oxidation rates
  - physical activity
  - blood pressure
  - behavioral testing.
